Scholarship Fair on November 15 at Jenkins High School

- 23 students don their white coats as a symbol of training in the medical profession.

- These students meet once a month with Mercer medical students and Memorial Health staff to learn about the medical field and possibilities for career pathways.

- This SCCPSS partnership is carried on through Scoutreach Amerca.

Food security impacts more than student health. Having regular access to enough nutritious food can have a positive effect on a student’s academic performance, behavior, and attendance.

- 50 vendors from businesses to colleges to the military represented at the event.

- National School Bus Safety Week is "an active and evolving public education program and an excellent way for parents, students, teachers, motorists, school bus operators, school administrators, and other interested parties - to join forces and address the importance of school bus safety."

The fun and creative campaign theme, “Taste The World: Your School Lunch Passport,” highlights the importance of a healthy school lunch to a student’s success both in and out of the classroom.

- The Mediation Center of the Coastal Empire, along with SCCPSS and the Chatham-Savannah Counter Narcotics Team, started the program three years ago.

- The program trains high school kids to go into middle schools and educate kids on the dangers of drugs.
