- Brenda's a cluster nurse for SCCPSS.
- She's implemented cardiac awareness training throughout the district.
- Brenda was a Top-5 finalist in the PSNI 2026 National Nurses Week celebration, recognized for her ongoing commitment to cardiac education and advocacy of school nursing as a profession.

Open House is scheduled for Thursday, July 30, 2026. Islands High School families will be able to meet teachers, visit classrooms, and get information prior to the beginning of the school year.
To assist with managing large crowds and to support families who may have children at another school on the islands, there are specific times for open house based on the student's last name.
Please honor these timeframes if possible. Doing so will allow everyone to have a wonderful experience.

- Principals, assistants and district leadership met for a two-day conference to chart the path for the 2026-27 school year.

- SCCPSS's Engagement and Outreach department thanked our volunteers with a year-end breakfast gathering.
- Volunteers play a daily crucial role in the success of our students serving in various roles including mentoring, literacy and many other areas of expertise.
- Our school system works with several thousand active volunteers annually.
