- This past Friday night, Alonna McMullen (Hesse K-8 School) captured overall Principal of the Year at the 2026 Excellence in Education Awards Gala.
- Dr. Tony Foy (A.B. Williams Elementary School) and Dr. Jimmie Cave (Islands High School) were finalists for the overall award.
